Supportive Mothering

My brain was overloaded with thoughts on homeschooling. My job is in person but I’ve been working from home almost for a year. I was frustrated with my daughter’s teacher nitpicking her about sloppy handwriting and minor grammatical issues after already being aware of the fact that she has ADHD and is dyslexic. I cannot tell you how many meetings I’ve had at the school since she was in kindergarten.

Kids pay attention to a lot more than we think. Open dialogue is important with your children. There are mountains of information being fed to them on YouTube, at school from kids and adults alike. They will be left to themselves to determine how to adapt, react, or process information. They need you as their guide whether they realize it or not yet.

Sometimes we must look in unexpected places to find our healing. Also being true to who we are is a key that unlocks unchartered territory. In order to be true to who we are we first have to feel the freedom to ask God to show you the things that truly make your heart happy.

Christian community is vital for the Christian faith. Those partners in faith allow us to be held accountable, supported, and learn from each other. True discipleship has changed my life. We need to know our spiritual maturity level in order to improve.
