Get Radical : Radical Engagement
LGBTQ and the church, ex-gay, de-transition, Christian community
Hello sisters,
It's time for some radical engagement. Christ has called us to action for our brothers and sisters in Christ. I have seen videos of people trying to reacclimate to in person church......

While we are Christian girlies, we must be aware of what is going on around us. We want this world to be an accepting place, in this community as well. No matter what anyone is struggling with we want to support them in the way you would like to be supported. God moves in His own timing when it comes to everyone's sin. Our position should be to provide grace and truth when necessary. Truth has done it's job! Now it's time for grace.
I realized after a ton of healing how grateful I was during the time I struggled with same sex attraction that I was still loved. I was not excommunicated from any church. There are many people who were not as fortunate. God requires that we love others as we love ourselves. That calls us to love our brothers and sisters radically. I have become privy to the #exgay #detransition movement on social media. God is moving family and we in partnership with God can help it to grow.
In this moment, God is doing a new thing! I felt convicted to mention this means people will be returning to church. That includes YOUR CHURCH! You share something in common with the person walking through the doors. YOU ARE BOTH SINNERS! WE ALL ARE! People that are detransitioning voices and bodies may look and sound different than you expect. Be full of grace sisters. Our brothers and sisters are looking for the love of Christ and new community.

You can be their new friend. Someone they can text on rough days. Do not underestimate the pain in your neighbors heart. We are to bring them into the fold and welcome them home. I challenge you this week to look around your church and see if there is a safe place for someone who chooses to denounce being gay: ask you pastor is there a plan, a community support group, or resource available to help educate your church for what God is doing in the earth.
If you run across someone within the next week share our online community with them. Check out the support groups we have at AJD Communications! Join one yourself and receive support from each other. These are safe spaces to ask the hard questions.
